Diamond Passing Pattern Drills (w/technical footwork)
4-pole diamond passing work for variable group size to work on receiving and turning moves (e.g. V-Turn)
Setup
4 pole diamond (12-15 yds apart); Divide players evenly in lines behind each pole, 5 yds away from the pole
Instructions
- Pass to next teammate and follow pass (back of line on next pole)
- Add # of balls and technical moves when receiving through progressions
Progressions
- increase number of balls (up to three)
- techniques to change direction: 2a) first touch back towards passer, then drag-back V turn 2b) first touch towards passer, drag back, then 2 Cruyff turns
